From something that started as a personal need for a better fishing plug, turned into what is here today. When hooks were bent, and plugs were split, an idea kindled. Simply try and incorporate the best components and hardware you can. Design what would work day in and day out, and not have the fear of what if this fails. Keep it simple, keep the colors and sizes true, true to the bait that swims in our waters. Colors and Pattern will be made to replicate, plain and simple.

"Hi, I just wanted to drop you guys a line, and give you a heads up and Thank You…. I was shown your plugs about 3 months ago, from a couple of friends of mine, who fish your plugs quite regularly. I don’t really have as much time as I would like to get out and fish but when the opportunity arises I do take advantage of it.…Well this spring had been spotty at best. Some decent fish here and there and mostly under keeper size, Sometimes down right frustrating. I had purchased one of your darters and 2 needles from Causeway Bait and Tackle because I was told I have to have them, by my fishing friends and I am glad I did…. We were fishing one the local jetties and weren’t having much luck. As were leaving I decided to cast your needle back up towards the jettie almost parallel but off of it quite a bit. On my very first cast I was rewarded with this fish below. The 3 of us did have a couple of more fish but none even compared to the size of the first one I caught. This is by far my personal best, and I am very proud to be able to write you and tell you of my story.… I hope you keep the plugs coming, Because you have made another life long user."

                  Thanks Big Don

These plugs were initially made for the hardcore's. The guys who would pound the surf night after night, day after day. Guys who would catch numbers of fish that are incomprehensible, Guys who would be on bites and not even tell their own brothers or wives about it, Guys who in one night cover inlets, bays, and beaches, and come morning do it all over again. These guys fish nothing less than what they believe and have faith in. As time changed and demand grew so did we.

"Things have started to change, We have bass showing up again, To me they never left, I have been asked more times than I care to remember where you fishing?, and are you catching? Everyone was complaining, freaking wind, Moon tide. Nothing on the beach….. Lets face it the fish are there. It's easier to complain than find them. Find the bait find the fish. Simple right. In theory yes, But now you must match the bait size and color, Us plug guys some times have it tougher than you bait and wait guys, Yeah I know I bait it up some times too. So there has been this up and coming kid, He has the will to learn and desire but is a few years out of putting it together. He is struggling. No bite in a few weeks. Hey right now he is not K9the only one. I run into him one day in the deli and tell him to be at my house at 10:00. He shows and we are on our way. First thing I notice about him is he doesn't ask where we are going. Hey he's like us I say to my self. I come from the old school where you keep you mouth shut don't ask questions and watch everything. Any talk amongst the guys was kept to football and women. We arrive. Lets go get your stuff. Wind was light that night out of the E. 1st day of light east wind since a full week of SW the fish have been here but now I don't know. It's a hike I say. K9's reply " I am up to it". Water was cleaner than I expected. It is going to be all about presentation tonight, make sure you are on your game, with water this clear these fish will have you talking to your self. See those rocks? Cast around them. He was trying for a while with no real hookups. What are you using I ask him. Here try this. Fish it with slight jerks of the rod tip and go SLOW. A lot of the school moved out with the wind change but the bigger ones definitely hung around. They were finicky until the tide really started to drop. But I attribute the finicky-ness as to what he was throwing at first. We never did change our plugs that night, never needed to. I am not sure if Brian aka. "K9" has since. I guess its another believer, I find out a few weeks later that "K9" has hung a good bass at the local B&T, he deserves it, Want to guess what it was caught on? I hope the cat isn't out of the bag just yet."

Yeah the cats out of the bag, but that's OK. Remember "Put a Woody in her mouth".
